FEBRUARY Feb 6, 2012 & Feb 8, 2012 BSA FISHING SCHOOL - Our Annual Fishing School is now open for registration to ALL residents. The school is designed for beginning and intermediate anglers. All tackle for the school will be provided. Topics include learning the fish habitats, how to fish for the species found in charlotte harbor, rigging your tackle, to name a few. To register call Jay Lev @ (941)575-9981. Seating for this school is limited to the first 26 registrants.
A PRESENTATION OF THE GUY HARVEY ULTIMATE SHARK CHALLENGE - Jay Lev, a member of the tournament production staff, will present a photo journey of the ins and outs of the entire tournament. You wil get to see some of the magnificent sharks caught and tagged, as well as equipment used by the tournament winning anglers. Mote Marine Shark Laboratory has provided the club with copies of their shark identification manual. All participants in this program, will receive a copy of the guide. To attend, sign up for the dessert series in the BSGAC activities office.

MARCH 23, 2012- Ron Doig Memorial Residence Tournament is now open for captains to register their boats for a spot in the tournament. Coastal Conservation Association Banquet DATE: The Evening of MARCH 1, 2012 - Tickets for the banquest are $75/person, $125/couple tax deductible. Active members of the BSA will receive a $10 contribution from the club toward your tickets. The banquet will feature a fabulous auction of all kinds of fishing equipment, outboard motors, electronics, with a special table full of beautiful accessories for the lady angler, boats, art, trips to exotic fishing locations, etc. The event will be held in the new Charlotte Harbor Conference and Event Center. APRIL / MAY
SKINS AND FINS TOURNAMENT - APRIL 21, 2012 - The BSA will agian co host this fun tournament. It consists of playing nine holes of golf, followed by 2 hours of fishing, in one of the designated ponds on the golf course. A combined weight and score will determine the winners. Watch for the posting on the BSGAC bulletien board.
