BURNT STORE ANGLERS
MASTER ANGLER CHALLENGE
During the months of October, November, December, January, February and March all members in good standing of the Burnt Store Anglers can participate. The rules are simple! As you catch eligible species of fish over the next six months, you can enter your catches in the Club’s Ladder of Excellence Fishing Program. Each eligible fish*when documented, earns you points toward the clubs Excellence in fishing program.
There are 23 eligible species of fish that you may enter. Each of those fish count toward two programs. The first is known as the Angling Ladder of Excellence and the second is known as the FISHERMAN of the Year award. To qualify for the various levels of excellence you must catch five of the eligible species. As you add more species, your level of achievement goes up. Each level of achievement earns you a pewter fish pin.
The second achievement program, known as the Fisherman of the Year is based on total points you achieve by submitting fish entries in the angling ladder of excellence. At the end of March the angler achieving the most points based on total number of species is designated The Fisherman of the Year and their names will be added to a beautiful permanent plaque that will hang in the Golf and Activity Center for all to see.
